Md. Bablu Prodhan

Born on 31 December 1974 in Gobindogonj, Gaibandha District, Bangladesh, Md. Bablu Prodhan was a man of remarkable vision and quiet determination. Holding a Master's degree in Physics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Rajshahi, he combined academic rigor with an entrepreneurial spirit that would go on to reshape Bangladesh's vertical transportation landscape.

Recognized as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) in the import trade sector, he carried that distinction with humility and purpose. His professional standing was further cemented through his membership in the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), where he actively contributed to shaping trade policy alongside the nation's foremost business leaders.

Beyond the boardroom, he was a committed community figure — a proud member of the Lion's Club, the Former Joint Convener of Gobindogonj Somity, and a General Member of Rangpur Somity. His community roots ran deep, reflecting a man who led not just with strategy, but with heart.

With over 20 years of hands-on expertise in elevator, escalator, and generator sales, installation, and maintenance — and professional training received across Italy, Spain, China, Korea, and Malaysia — he brought world-class technical knowledge back to Bangladesh. This global experience formed the bedrock upon which he founded Global Lift Co. Ltd., which grew to become one of the country's foremost importers and service providers of lifts and escalators.

Md. Bablu Prodhan passed away on 5 February 2019, leaving behind an enduring legacy — a company that continues to elevate lives, a community that remembers his service, and a family that carries his spirit forward.
